| The DeLorean - "Back the The Future" |
Well, we forgot to add a 4th contender, the world famous De Lorean DMC-12.
This vehicle was made world famous in the 1985 Sci Fi comedy adventure film, Back To The Future. Had we added this to that list, we would now be patting ourselves on the back because.....it's making a come back!!

Yes the gull-winged DeLorean will make it's debut in the USA in 2013. Not only is it coming back but the first model will be electric and will be very cleverly known as Electric DeLorean. The ner electric model will cost around $95,000, will start being made in January and be delivered in February or March 2013.
The new DeLorean will stil have it's famous gull-wing doors, rear-mounted engine and stainless steel body. It's powered by a 32 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion phosphate battery system. It’s still sporty, It also boasts a fantastic 0 - 60mph in less than six seconds! So we calculate hitting 88mph in about 8 seconds, although time travel is still not possible!
The DeLorean first started production in 1981/1982 in Dunmurry in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It was manufactured by John DeLorean's DeLorean Motor Company, for the American Market. It was a 2-door coupe with a 2849cc Engine, 150bhp and came in a 5-speed manual or 3-speed auto transmission. It is believed that 9,000 of these vehicles were made before production was halted in 1982. Only 6,500 of these rare vehicles exist to this day! We are very excited that the DeLorean is making a comeback, especially as a "green" version.
